Poli Sarpa Barrique

Sarpa Barrique is an aged Grappa featuring a harmonic taste. In its elegant simplicity it holds the whole history and passion for distilling of the Poli family. Sarpa was distilled for the first time in 1991 from the most classic blend: Merlot and Cabernet. “Sarpa” in Venetian dialect means “grape marc”, the skins of grapes from which Grappa is made.

Sarpa Barrique is artisanally distilled with the Poli’s pot-still composed of 12 copper cauldrons working in small batches. The distillate thus obtained is about 75% alc./vol and therefore, once the aging period is finished, it is brought to consumption degree by adding distilled water. It is refrigerated at a temperature of 21°C, filtered and finally bottled.

Raw material: marc obtained from Merlot and Cabernet grapes
Distillation: artisanal, in small lots, with a discontinuous copper still provided with steam pots
Aroma: exotic fruit, citron, liquorice, vanilla
Taste: full, rich and wrapping

Aging: 4 years of aging in 225 liters French oak barrels.
