Tasting Notes: Plum, Blackberry, Mineral, Herbs
Fattoria Alois is located at the foothills of the Caiatini Mountains in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius where the Alois family, led by Michele and Massimo, cultivates nine beautiful hectares. This red comes from volcanic soils from estate vineyards in the foothills of the Caiatini Mountains. You can truly sense the effect of the volcanic soils in the mineral character of the wine. The body is full with matching acidity, and dry. Roughened chewy flavors of dark plums, blue fruit, black cherry, earth and wild herbs combine with the food-welcoming acidity. It will pair with everything from hearty pastas and pizzas to roasted lamb or pork.
