This award winning 1995 vintage from Glenrothes was the first of their whiskies to be aged with a specific character in mind. This was made with 70% refill casks and 30% sherry-treated casks (American and Spanish oak).
Nose: Buttery toffee apples and hints of allspice. A little milk chocolate, manuka honey, dates and cinnamon.
Palate: American-style pancakes laden with cinnamon, vanilla and maple syrup. Creamy malt, sherry and peanut butter.
Finish: Long finish with toasted almonds and golden syrup.
Overall: A deliciously spicy, rich whisky.
